Vietnam seafood exports in January 2023 decreased by 31%, expected to recover from the second quarter

In January 2023, following the trend of the last quarter of the previous year, Vietnam seafood exports continued to decline deeply. It is estimated that in the first month of the year, seafood exports decreased by 31%, reaching about 600 million USD. In which, pangasius decreased by 50%, shrimp decreased by 46%, tuna decreased by 32%. Only cephalopods and other marine fishes were able to maintain a positive growth of 4% and 6% respectively.

Vietnam pangasius exports by the end of October 2022 reached 2.1 billion USD

According to customs statistics, Vietnam's pangasius exports as of October 15, 2022 reached more than 2 million USD, up 81% over the same period last year. It is estimated that by the end of October, pangasius exports will bring in over $2.1 billion. In particular, in October 2022 alone, pangasius exports were estimated at US$159 million, up 16%.
